HUNGRY CHILDREN
IN
INDIA
Hello
everyone, I am Ramesh Haridas Sampat, Founder of
Mata Annapurna Ashram. I am also the Founder of
partners-in-karma.org and
donate-your-old-clothes.org
My
vision is "No child will sleep hungry in India.
No
child will be without clothes and shoes.
No
child will grow up without proper education."
This
is not day dreaming. This vision is realistic.
It
is very much within our reach. Together we can make it happen. If
you cannot see it, do not worry. We are starting to make it happen.
Join in and just do what you can. Very soon you will see it too.
WE
ARE STARTING WITH
TEN
MILLION MEALS
FOR
THE HUNGRY CHILDREN
We
will provide these meals to children in villages and small towns in
different parts of India. All ten million meals will be recorded in
video, every child, every single meal. We will preserve all videos.
This will become a part of history of India.
MAKING
PREPARATIONS
We
are in the process of acquiring some properties big enough and
suitable to start charity kitchens and schools. In some locations we
will acquire vacant land, build temporary sheds and start the kitchens.
All
kitchens will be for children only.
WE
WILL
START
ONE
HUNDRED KITCHENS
IN
DIFFERENT PARTS OF INDIA
and
that will be just the beginning
In
every kitchen we will provide two meals every day, seven days a
week. Every property will be big and suitable for a school. After
starting the kitchen we will hire teachers and start a school in the
same property. Then children will spend the whole day at school and
have breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and dinner every day, seven
days a week.
Every
month we will celebrate one day as "Childrens Day". We
will organize "Mela" (Fair, Carnival) in many schools.
Children from other schools and children not in school will also
participate. Whole day children will have fun activities, free rides,
festive food, ice cream and some gifts.
Apart
from our own kitchens we will provide meals in numerous locations in
cooperation with local NGOs and schools. We are discussing this with
several NGOs. We will also provide meals to children in other schools
in the vicinity of our schools.
