Hello
everyone, I am Ramesh Haridas Sampat, Founder of
Mata Annapurna Ashram. I am also the Founder of aatmajyot.com and donate-your-old-clothes.org
My
vision is "No child will sleep hungry in India.
No
child will grow up without proper education."
This
is not day dreaming. This vision is realistic.
It
is very much within our reach. Together we can make it a reality. If
you can't see it, don't worry. We are starting to make it happen.
Join in and just do what you can. Very soon you will see it too.
WE
ARE STARTING WITH
TEN
MILLION MEALS
FOR
THE HUNGRY CHILDREN
This
program will begin as of
30 April, 2009.
In
this program meals will be served to children one time only. Ten
million children will benefit. Meals will be served by organizing
small and big events in schools and neighbourhoods. These will be
half-day or whole-day events similar to "Childrens Day"
events (please see "Childrens Day" page) and will include
games and fun activities for children. The events will be organized,
a few at a time, in various districts and sub districts all over the
country. Every event will be recorded live in video, every child,
every single meal. We will preserve all videos. This will become a
part of our history.
Schools,
NGOs, volunteers and neighbourhoods will be selected as described in
"SEVA DHARMA" below.
GOING
BEYOND TEN MILLION MEALS
While
the above program goes on we are making preparations to go beyond
ten million meals. We are in the process of acquiring properties big
enough to start schools.
WE
WILL
BUILD
645 SCHOOLS
ONE
IN EVERY DISTRICT IN INDIA
That
will be just the beginning
In
most locations we will acquire vacant land,
build
temporary structures and start the school.
We
will plan and construct school buildings as we go.

To
coordinate all the work and to facilitate participation of everyone,
we are involving matured, responsible individuals to open Chapters of
Mata Annapurna Ashram in their area. We will have Chapters in every
district in India and in every city around the world where there is
large Indian population.
We
are giving roles of responsibility to self-driven, capable young men
and women. We are mentoring them to play a major part in bringing
change by combining their youthful energy and new ideas with the
experience and wisdom of the seniors.
